Andrew Miller

Hailing the Pacific Northwest, Andrew has been an active part of the a cappella and vocal jazz scene. During his education at the University of Puget Sound, he took a small group of jazz musicians under the guise of Underground Jazz and transformed it into a 20+ person ensemble that performs a cappella vocal jazz and pop arrangements. His leadership allowed the group to explore challenging arrangements from Gene Puerling and Swingle Singers, to m-pact and a cappella pop covers by various artists. He arranged songs, from "Toxic" by Britney Spears and "This Love" by Maroon 5, to "On and On" by Erykah Badu and "Take On Me by A-Ha. He has personal connections with members of the professional groups Vocal Line, m-pact, Cluster and Basix. He has been a clinician for many a cappella groups, including groups at his alma mater, and also at the University of Washington and various local jazz festivals. Andrew currently sings with two groups, the community based vocal jazz ensemble Bluestreet Voices and the professional group Seattle Jazz Singers.
